KEP Kish was awarded a contract for drilling an offshore delineation well in Kish Gas Field (namely, Kish No. 3 well) towards the Dahrum formation at a total depth of 4420 m. In this regard, its major accountabilities were as follows:
Providing engineering services•
Providing procurement services•
Providing a jack-up drilling rig•
Performing drilling operations•
Providing Integrated Drilling Services (IDS)•
The main objective of drilling well No. 3 was determining the extension of the gas zone and confirming gas in place volume of the reservoir, in order to pave the way for further development of the Kish Gas Field, which was successfully achieved. In addition, KEP Kish managed to drill the well in due time according to predefined drilling program, and even exceeded the total depth
